A truly stunning cycling destination, the Alps are an absolute dream for anyone who loves the outdoors. As an experienced cyclist, I have explored the Alps several times and am always amazed by their beauty and diversity.

The Alps offer a variety of routes for cyclists of all levels. There are roads leading through the valley and easy, flat routes for beginners, as well as steep climbs and adventurous paths for experienced cyclists. The views of the surrounding mountains and valleys are breathtaking and always offer spectacular photo opportunities.

I recommend leaving early in the morning to avoid the traffic and fully enjoy the day. There are many opportunities to stop and enjoy the views along the way, as well as small villages to eat and take a break. The region is also known for its excellent inns and restaurants where you can enjoy the regional cuisine.

The Alps also offer a wealth of recreational opportunities, including hiking, climbing, fishing and boating. The region is also home to many historical sites and attractions to explore.

Overall, the Alps are an unforgettable destination for cyclists. The breathtaking landscape, the challenges on the bike and the wide range of leisure activities make it an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to come back and have more adventures in this beautiful region.

15 August 2021 Raymond Sperling bikepacking, training and touring

Finally bikepacking time again! Only take the essentials with you, saddle up the gravel bike or racing bike and then off you go. This year I chose the comfort option and only stayed in hotels. This saved me some luggage because I didn't take the tent, sleeping bag and sleeping pad with me
