What is an RTF
The abbreviation RTF means Rad-Touren-Fahrt. As the term suggests, an RTF is really just a bike tour. It is also very important to the organizers that an RTF is not a cycling race. With an RTF, the streets are not closed and the racing cyclists have to adhere to the StVo. This means that the right of way rules must of course be observed and you must stop at red traffic lights. The nice thing about an RTF, however, is that the organizers - mostly the local cycling clubs - always choose very nice routes, which of course lead more across the country. There is an RTF almost every weekend in the season around Hamburg and you always get to know new and very beautiful routes, which you can incorporate into your own training. We recommend every beginner as well as experienced racing cyclists to take part in an RTF, they can also be very sporty!
