Specialized Crux Model 2018

The Specialized Crux is the cyclocrosser by Specialized. In addition to the standard models, there is also a S Works model. S-Works stands for top-class sport and upscale equipment. The S-Works Crux, for example, comes with one Shimano Dura Ace equipment therefore. Absolute top class. With the new development of CruX the engineers at Specialized didn't want to design another touring bike with additional tire clearance, but a fast, lightweight, reliable and thoroughbred racing bullet. For the first time, the Crux comes with our exclusive Rider-First Engineered ™ design principle to use.

The S-Works CruX already has various World title secreted and his cyclocross-Sufficient proof of suitability. The size-specific tubes and fiber assignments enable a weight reduction of approx. 400 g with a 56 frame compared to the predecessor
- and that without adversely affecting efficiency and handling. In addition, each frame size offers exactly the properties that the corresponding rider needs. This avoids too much or too little stiffness in certain zones. on top of that
The seat post clamp, which is two centimeters lower, allows more flexibility
in the seating area, as the seat post can "work" better. Not to be forgotten is the improved tire clearance in the chassis, so that even tires clogged with mud do not brake. The race-oriented geometry with a low bottom bracket and direct steering behavior predestines the CruX for technically demanding routes. Thanks to the spacious front frame triangle, the bike can be safely shouldered. The hand-picked components not only catapult the S-Works CruX to an exclusive top spot, they also reduce the weight and optimize efficiency, for example with the extra-stiff S-Works crank and the agile Roval CLX 50 system wheels.

  • The profile of the Tracer Sport tire is trimmed for optimal all-round properties, because the tire offers a lot of traction on changing surfaces without adversely in uencing the rolling resistance. Its shoulder lugs provide a lot of cornering grip even with an aggressive driving style, the middle pro le rolls off quickly.
