Season planning 2017

The road bike season is slowly getting under way for me roll and my already loosely planned Season finally taking shape.
This year I would like to drive more, who doesn't plan to do that. In this case, of course, more means more more kilometers and more often. What I want to change this year: More Races, RTF's and a member of one cycling club .

More races and bike marathons

In my first year - 2015 - I drove exactly one race: Das Schwerin Lakes Everyone Cycle Race. In my second year, 2016, I did two races. the Cycle Classics 100 and the 100km route at Schwerin Lakes Everyone Cycle Race. This year it should be even more. I've already signed up for them Tour d'Energy (100km) in Goettingen on April 23, 2017, the City-Nord cycling days (lap race) on May 13, the Vätternrundan in June in Sweden (300km) and Schwerin Lakes Everyone Cycle Race (100 km) in September. That would be three races, one more each year. But I don't want to leave it at that. Actually, I wanted to ride the big 180km route at the Cyclassics in my hometown Hamburg this year, but unfortunately the Cyclassics fall, as always, during the Hamburg school holidays and exactly in my holiday planning 🙁 When will the organizers finally check that the dates are in the holidays are totally stupid.
And then there are other very interesting dates from the category of races for everyone and marathons, which I will do more or less spontaneously. You can always find the dates in our calendar for racing cyclists from Hamburg.

RTF

Up until two weeks ago I had never driven an RTF. To be honest, I didn't really know what to do with it and how it all works. But how is it always so nice: Once you ride together with other racing cyclists, you try something new. So it happened that on Sunday April 9th I drove my first RTF: The Elbe Classics
I really liked the Elbe Classics and it certainly won't be my last RTF. I hope everyone else is organized as well.

Join a cycling club

This resolution has a long history. When I started cycling in 2015 and realized that it was more than just a craze, I searched the web for cycling clubs in Hamburg. I realized pretty quickly that on FC St. Pauli there is no way around it. Mainly because I've been a FC St. Pauli fan since I was young. I must have printed out and filled out the registration form 20 times in the past, but somehow I was always afraid – or respectful – of sending the form. But what lasts will finally be good and I submitted my membership application two days ago to FC-St. Pauli sent. So I'll be in brief bike pirate!!!

What do I expect from membership in FC St. Pauli

First of all, I'm looking forward to the people. Riding in a group is really nice from time to time, and of course I also want to learn something. Most bike pirates have been riding for a lot longer than I have and I hope that I can still learn a few things about the technique. Of course I also think that I can discover new events for myself, which in turn helps me to do more Races, marathons and RTF to have in my schedule.

Conclusion

I have an event every month until July and my planning leaves some room for other cycling events, in July and August I just have to see if something interesting comes up for me.
